INVENT | TURA Mapping Territories and Histories Bosnia&Herzegovina
[eng] INVENT | TURA examines the mechanisms of writing history in BiH by the means of contemporary visual arts and literature and consists of the production of new texts and artworks, a theoretical reflection on the topic in form of a panel and the presentation of the results in exhibitions and readings. The interdisciplinary project on the one hand records and narrates the complex historical layers in BiH. On the other hand, INVENT | TURA examines critically the mechanisms of writing history and fathoms the dialectical tension of “forgetting” and “constructing” specific narratives. INVENT | TURA develops its ideas along the interface of research and art productions. The project draws on the assumption that only an active knowledge about the complex past of BiH enables to imagine a present and future state of the society.
[bhs] INVENT | TURA ispituje mehanizme pisanja istorije u BiH putem savremene likovne umjetnosti i književnosti i sastoji se od proizvodnje novih radova, teorijske refleksije na tu temu u obliku panela i prezentacija rezultata na izložbama i čitanjima. Interdisciplinarni projekat,s jedne strane evidentira i pripovijeda o kompleksnosti istorijskih slojeva u BiH. S druge strane, INVENT | TURA kritički istražuje mehanizme pisanja istorije i zatomlja dijalektičku napetost "zaboravljajući" i "izgrađujući" određene priče. INVENT | TURA razvija svoje ideje uz interfejs istraživanja i umjetničke produkcije. Projekat se oslanja na pretpostavku da samo aktivno znanje o kompleksu prošlosti BiH omogućava zamišljanje sadašnjeg i budućeg stanja društva.
[dt] INVENT | TURA untersucht die Mechanismen von Geschichtsschreibung in BiH mit den Mitteln der zeitgenössichen bildenden Kunst und Literatur und besteht aus der Produktion neuer Kunstwerke/Texte, einem Panel und der Präsentation der Ergebnisse in Form von Ausstellungen und Lesungen. Das interdisziplinäre Projekt ist einerseits Bestandaufnahme und Erzählung der reichen historischen Schichten in BiH. Andererseits fragt INVENT | TURA selbstreflexiv nach den Mechanismen von Geschichtsschreibung und lotet die Spannbreite zwischen "Vergessen" und "Konstruktion" einer bestimmten Darstellung von Geschichte aus. INVENT | TURA bewegt sich an der Schnittstelle zwischen einer wissenschaftlichen Untersuchung und der Bearbeitung der Ergebnisse mit künstlerischen Darstellungsformen. Das Projekt ist geleitet von der Annahme, dass lediglich ein aktives Wissen der zahlreichen historischen und kulturellen Schichten in BiH es ermöglicht, eine Gegenwart und eine Zukunft der Gesellschaft zu entwerfen. |
